As a leading center for bioinformatics, AI, and data science, we will specialise in decoding complex omics datasets, including biomolecular sequences, gene expression profiles, and epigenetic information. Navigating Data Complexity
We will empower researchers to navigate intricate datasets, accelerating advancements in genomics, proteomics, and beyond. Bioinformatics support will be crucial in managing the complex data generated and developing robust computational frameworks for data analysis. We will work in close collaboration with the Genomics and Precision Medicine Research Center and the Public Health and Health Systems Research Center to enable innovative interdisciplinary research. We will also nurture a research culture for effective innovation by incorporating modern paradigms of idea-to-insight rapid cycles as well as state-of-the-art data and engineering practices. Moreover, our links with industry together with the support of the KU Research and Innovation Services Office will foster an ecosystem that encourages the Industrialization of our translational research.
